Work Experience

Retail Stylist || Kendra Scott Flagship - South Congress
During my gap semester before graduate school, I joined the Kendra Scott family as a retail stylist. Working at the flagship location, I had many opportunities to participate in pop-up events, philanthropy, extending into new product categories, and flipping store displays. Getting to know the consumers on a personal level is invaluable to me as I continue my career in advertising. Seeing the smiling faces of customers warmed my heart and affirmed that the beauty and fashion industry is where I want to work. As I study my classes in graduate school, I often reflect back on my time working in retail. It was an experience that made me not only a better communicator but a more empathetic team player to reach a common goal.

Social Media Intern || Shiseido — Drunk Elephant
As a social media intern, I expanded my knowledge of social media analytics with a mainstream brand. I compiled UGC content, conducted giveaways, created Excel sheets for data analytics, interacted with their community on TikTok & Instagram, practiced social listening, and created a competitor analysis as an evergreen resource for the team.

customer retention intern || "Insert name here" hair
As a retention marketing intern, my focus is on maintaining relationships with previous and current consumers through marketing mediums such as email, SMS, the INH app, and more. Through this internship, I have received intensive experience and certifications in platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, and TapCart. Creatively, I create copy for various media channels; strategically, I uncover the narrative behind the metrics and responses from the consumers.
influencer Relations + Community Manager || Kailav Beauty
Through Glaze Zine, I joined the Kailav team as an Influencer Relations intern and was promoted as a manager. Working in the beauty industry has given me a great appreciation for a variety of influencer marketing strategies, including but not limited to: affiliate programs, sponsorships, community building, brand collaborations, and interpersonal business relationships. By putting the perspective of the consumer first, I ensure the authenticity of the campaign elements and how they positively affect the target audience.
strategist || novus group, UT Austin
My senior capstone class at UT mimicked an agency environment for an actual campaign for Asuragen, a Biotechne brand. As a primary demand campaign, my agency and I were tasked with promoting genetic carrier testing as a whole. The strategy team and I formed the creative brief that determined the trajectory for the campaign. We narrowed down our target audience through a SWOT analysis, primary and secondary research, interviews, surveys (800+ respondents), consumer journeys, target personas, and more.
Legal Assistant || Magnan Couture, PLLC
Becoming more well-rounded in my secretarial skills, I learned about writing standards for civil law by preparing motions and other legal documents. I also performed other office jobs, like filing, bates stamping, and writing minutes for client meetings. These skills ensured that I am well organized, proactive, and strategic in the workplace.
Photographer || Camp Longhorn Inks Lake, 3rd Term
I took and edited photos for camp events, working with various types of lighting throughout the day, with lots of water activities and action shots. From this job, I can learn skills in the moment and push myself out of my comfort zone.
Summer Intern || City of Silsbee: Economic Development Corporation
I helped redesign the EDC’s website, created new marketing material, shadowed an expert in the field, and performed other office jobs. My experience ensured my passion for marketing and communications to create a greater, positive impact in my community.
