• GT Independent Study •
After a tedious nine months of research through the Texas Performance Standards Program, I am proud to say that I completed the Gifted and Talented Independent Study project over cruelty free cosmetics marketing.
I had the chance to interview prominent professionals in the cosmetics industry from brands like Alamar Cosmetics, Colourpop Cosmetics, and Too Faced Cosmetics.
Through this experience, I not only solidified my desired career, but I grew tremendously as a student and person. This project truly taught me the importance of merging practicality with your passions.
• Aurora Beauty Marketing •
Through my GT Independent Study project, I created the foundations of a public relations platform that connects ethical brands to moral driven influencers, specifically concerning animal testing.
My dreams for this platform include managing PR packages for influencers so they can receive certified cruelty free products without worrying about their cruelty free status. My hopes is that through the prominence of the animal rights and the cruelty free movement, governments will take notice of consumer's desire for change and abolish animal testing worldwide.
• Photography •
Through my time as the girls camp photographer at Camp Longhorn, my interests in photography grew tremendously. While I am not a professional by any means, I love the concept of taking different lenses and angles to provide perspective of people, nature, and objects we may not always experience from our two eyes.
While I am not able to showcase my work from my time at Camp Longhorn, I do have a few experimental shoots that I took with friends or were hired to do through free lance. Some of the events include senior pictures, weddings, and galas. Most of my work was taken on my Canon Rebel T6.
• Writing •
While my friends at home jokingly call me a verbal dyslexic – often because I think too quickly for my mouth to operate – I find a lot of peace through writing.
From a very young age, I have adored reading and writing, as exhibited through my participation in Ready Writing since I was in the fourth grade. It wasn't until I joined Literary Criticism that I truly explored the power of words. Every aspect – from how it affects the reader to how it affects society – captivates me. No matter what I do, I hope to incorporate some level of analytical thinking in my work because that is what connects me the most to the world around me.
• High School Class Assignments •
Through my time at Silsbee High School, I have been greatly influenced by my technology classes that have opened up my desire to pursue the creative design field. While my assignments are very amateur, I enjoyed making each assignment, and I was so excited to come back to class and make more. I hope you enjoy a peak into my humble beginnings!
